Art Classes

Unleash Your Inner Artist!® at the ArtJamz® Academy with Washington DC art classes, artist meetups and professional artist workshops.

At the ArtJamz Academy we creatively enable everyone from first-time painters to aspiring and established professionals. Select the program that fits your artistic level and start expanding your artistic horizons.

Novices and artistic professionals alike have the same two things in common: they love to paint and thirst for ways to improve. That’s why we started the ArtJamz Academy and packed it full of interesting and unique Washington DC art classes, artist meetups and professional artist workshops.

The ArtJamz Kidz Academy is dedicated to introducing the basics of art to children ages 5-14.  We emphasize the importance of learning past and present artists as well as foundations in color, composition, and shapes in order to ignite a growing interest for the creative field. Our classes are taught by experienced instructors with a passion for providing children with educational yet creative outlets.

The theme for this month’s Kids Academy is Abstract Lines, Shapes, and Colors.  In these classes, we will be teaching geometric shapes, straight and angular lines, primary and secondary colors, and patterns.  Your child will walk away with a strong foundation in art-making as well as knowledge in utilizing similar techniques to execute different compositions.  Each child gets their own canvas to paint and keep, an easel, smock, and unlimited access to a huge selection of art materials. Glitter, stencils, palettes, and other materials are sure to excite and inspire any young artist. Parents can get their own easel and canvas or grab a drink at the bar and hang out in the artists lounge while the kiddos unleash their inner artists. We have WIFI, coffee and drinks.
