Paint in The Park!

DC’s original paint party, ArtJamz, will be popping up in the great outdoors every Thursday from May 17th to June 21st as part of the Golden Triangle Summer Concert Series in Farragut Square Park.

We’ve been wanting to bring ArtJamz to the park since we started in 2010 – some of the best art ever created was inspired by nature. And just think about all the inspiration and personalities of the passing commuters. Plus, you can’t beat having live music thrown in! We’re taking ArtJamz to the park, and you’re invited!

For $30 intrepid ArtJammers receive a 16 x 20 stretch canvas, which they get to paint and keep, an easel, unlimited acrylic paints, brushes and art materials and guidance from the ArtJamz Creative Enablers, not to mention tons of inspiration from live music, the great outdoors and the faces of busy commuters. We supply the materials, you supply the vision! Online registration is required. Choose a session below!

The popular Golden Triangle Summer Concert Series will kick off its 14th season on May 17th from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm. The free performances are held every Thursday in Farragut Square Park (MAP IT!) through June 21. This season’s series will include six concerts from a variety of musical genres beginning with Lethal Peanut, a hard rock blues band.

“These concerts are a treat for those who work in Golden Triangle, visitors from across the city and the many tourists we host in the busy summer season,” said BID Executive Director Leona Agouridis. “It’s the perfect time of year to gather in the park with friends or coworkers and enjoy a different band every week for six weeks this summer. This year’s addition of ArtJamz provides even more creative energy and an additional element of entertainment to this popular event.”

Attendees are welcomed to bring chairs and blankets and are encouraged to pick up dinner at a Golden Triangle restaurant to enjoy in the park. A full list of Golden Triangle’s 200+ restaurants can be found at goldentriangledc.com.
